Napi built a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory located at the Shelby Township asphalt plant. This laboratory is certified by both the State of Michigan and AASHTO and is staffed with certified technicians testing all of the materials produced by the asphalt plant and recycle crushers. Napi’s lab personnel have the very latest equipment and resources available to them to assist in developing, testing and certifying hot mix asphalt mix designs for any project. All hot mix asphalt and recycled materials produced by Napi are tested to assure they remain consistent and are within all applicable specifications.
